ようこそ! Welcome...

So if you've found your way here, thank you for checking it out! If you continue to come back than I am glad that there's something to carry your interest. This blog is a counter-part to the gangustars.com site (which is as of writing this, incomplete). You may now be wondering, why have a blog and a site? Well, in the past I have tried to integrate the two types of things, but it makes sense for updates to keep things running separately these days. That's also why some other ease of use media will show up for future bits.

This isn't my first go at a site/information pool of this type. It's not likely to be the last, but hopefully this one will not be as short lived as it's predecessors. I like to share info and create new things, it's fun and can be a bit rewarding. I can't do all that I'd like due to lack of any funding. I also sometimes quit if there's no real feedback, good or bad. So if you like something here, let me know about it!

To give you an idea of what you can expect here, I'll run down a list of what I like. Japanese manga, not usually newer than 20 years old. I like super ginormous robots in a somewhat restricted palette of black, silver, blue, red and yellow. Robots that change into other objects. Seventies and eighties Japanese rock songs about robots that change into other objects. Rubber suited monsters are of course awesome. Heavy die-cast missile and hand shooting robots are also quite awesome. Spending a lot of money on said robots, not so awesome. In fact, I'm not a fan of spending a lot of money at all. I am however a huge fan of vintage toy art. Actually, art and especially art and design related to the toy industry is really fascinating to me, maybe more so than the toys themselves. Old advertisements and sales info also get me going.

I typically only share and spend time on what interests me. I really don't have a lot of time to waste on things I don't feel make a difference to me. That's not to say I love every thing that comes my way. And don't expect every word to be gushing and cheerful. I have dislikes, but they mostly come out due to my genuine interest and hope for a better product. So before you get too sick of my rants, remember they come from me wanting the particular product to be the best it could be.

So as this thing grows, and the blog and site blossom, I hope there will be something that you like and gives you a reason to check back now and then.
